Boating in Misty
Hollow
When you arrive, click the
teleport orb to the docks or boat rides. It's marked with a star
on the map below.
|
Driving

|
- Click the boat at the end of
the docks to go onboard
- Use the WASD keys to steer
(you must be clicked outside the chat box)
- W makes you go forward and
faster
- A turns left, D turns
right. I use taps on A and D to steer.
- S slows you down
- SPACE BAR pops you out
of the boat
|
Accidents

|
- If the boat goes too fast,
it will sail away from you and leave you in the water. Click the SPACE BAR to gather yourself to the
boat again. Click the boat to get back on board
- If the boat capsizes, there
is little way to recover. You can reenter the city to start
again.
- If you get stuck in
anyway and hitting space bar doesn't fix it, reenter the city to begin
again.
|
Races

|
- Davy has made a race track
with red flags marking the
track and green flags marking
observation stations for officials.
- If you are in a race, be
sure you go through all the red-flagged gates. Get close enough
to each observation post (green flag) so the officials there can see
you.
- Note: Due to the
nature of the scripting, you will not
be able to see others in their boats. You will see the
avatar, but not the boat.
- If you capsize or otherwise get
stuck in a race and space bar won't fix it, you will not be able to win
the race. If you and other opponents all capsize, you can start again.
- The boat track goes
around the central island where the docks are located. Go
counterclockwise around that island as marked by the flags.

Time Trials

|
- Before you begin, make sure
the host of the event knows you are ready to start.
- When the host says GO, begin
your route.
- Make sure the host sees you
as you arrive back at the docks. She will be timing you.
- If you have to restart, be
sure you reenter the city. Tell the host again that you are
restarting. Be sure she can see you as we have had some people
become invisible upon restarting.
- At the end of the
event, the host will award prizes based on your best lap time.
Feel free to try several times.
